District Social Security Officer received a secret information that child marriage were about to held in Mahavirnagar Vatva area. Following the information police rushed to the spot in which Tv9 team lend there support. A 15 year old girl was about to get married to a 20 year old boy and the marriage was kept a secret so that no body gets a hint of this child marriage. Only close relatives were called during the marriage ceremony.
Fortunately, the police reached on time and stopped the child marriage.
When police interrogated the girl’s family members at first they denied any such ceremony going on but later accepted the truth. A written application was taken from the girl’s family members by District Social Security Officer and police that they will marry their daughter only after she become legally eligible for marriage.
