Commissioner’s ‘I Follow’ Campaign for traffic awareness, Surat


Surat Police Commissioner met the vehicle riders at Athwa Chowpathy main road and made them aware about following the traffic rules. Police officials spread awareness by offering wrist bands to common people on which ‘I Follow’ was imprinted. Water Resources Minister of Gujarat, Narottam Patel was also present in this campaign and appealed the citizens to follow traffic rules.
Commissioner himself offered the wrist bands to citizens which motivated them further for following the traffic rules.

History of Fatal Accidents because of Mobile and Earphones


Mobile phones has a history of fatal accidents that led to death of many youngsters. A BCA student named Pushpak Nagraj studying at Bengaluru died as he was crossing track by listening to songs in mobile with earphones on. People tried to draw his attention towards the train but failed to do so.
In yet another case a 15 year old youth named Kaushalendra Pal of Gaziyabad also died while he was crossing railway track alongwith his friends and listening to music with earphones. Two more cousin brothers of Gaziyabad also died in the same way.
Two more youths of Delhi also died because of earphones.

Apart for railways tracks people, majority youngsters, are seen everywhere in public places as well listening to music on earphones. People needs to be conscious to avoid such ordeals.
