On Wednesday as forecasted by weather department Cyclone hit Southern state of India. Cyclone Nilam on Wednesday swept across north Tamil Nadu coast near Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from Chennai, leaving two persons dead, including a crew member of an oil tanker that ran aground off the city.

On the occasion of 52nd Foundation Day of Gujarat, Chief Minister, Narendra Modi addressed many Gujaratis and other Indians, across 12 cities of America and Canada namely, Chicago, New Jersey, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Houston and California.
