MSU student alleges ragging by seniors, Vadodara

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara is once again trapped in controversy. This time the issue is of ragging. A student of architecture has accused his seniors of harassing him in name of ragging. He even complained that the seniors made him do obscene things and forced him to dance. The student was tortured mentally as well as physically. Hence he stopped going to college. It was only when he informed his father that the entire incident came into light. His father complained to the university authorities and demanded strict action against the accused.
An inquiry committee has be made who will present a report on Wednesday.
Reportedly it is said that a professor is also involved in this ragging case.

Youth trapped in deep gorge of Pavagadh hill rescued after 20 hrs, Vadodara

A youth from Halol named Bharat Bhatti went to Maa Kaali temple located at the peak of Pavagadh. On his way back his leg slipped and he went down rolling in the 3000 feet deep gorge on Pavagadh hill. Lucky was he as he grabbed some bushes and found a small rock on which he could rest. He tried and called one of his friends who later informed the entire incident to Bharat’s family.
The firemen and district administration reached the spot later. They tried to locate Bharat by failed to do so as he couldn’t specify his exact location. By Saturday night, Vadodara firemen too joined the rescue efforts along with city-based mountaineers.
However, due to heavy fog the operation was suspended for few hours. By Sunday morning Bharat was located and with great efforts was rescued after 20 hours.
However, he was completely tired and upset and also suffered fracture on his hands and some other minor injured. Hence, he was rushed to a nearby hospital as soon as he was pulled out from the deep gorge.

Youth trapped in 3000 ft deep valley of Pavagadh rescued

Bharat Hasmukh Bhatti went to visit Pavagadh while accidentally he slipped into a 3000 feet deep valley. Since last 20 hours he was hanging in between on support of merely a tree. During the nigh it was very difficult to reach the youth because of the weather. Similar was the situation in morning the area was filled with fog to see anything. However, with great efforts the rescue team was able to trace him with the help of locals and mountaineers. Finally the youth was saved. However, during this entire incident Bharat also injured himself and sustained fractures. He was rushed to a nearby hospital as soon as he was rescued.

Increased number of patients of malaria and cholera in Ahmedabad and Vadodara

After a bit of rains there has been an outbreak of malaria, cholera and other such diseases because of the tremendous increase in number of mosquitoes in both Ahmedbad as well as Vadodara. In this year there has been 7000 cases of malaria are noted approximately in Ahmedabad. This is the result of litter and dinginess in the city and residents blames that corporation is not taking any steps to clean the areas.
Similar is the situation in Vadodara city.

One more case of irresponsibility results in rotten grains, Bhavnagar

Few days ago a report came of huge amount of wheat decayed in rain due to the irresponsibility in Vadodara. Now a similar incident has occurred in Bhavnagar as well. In a Government owned go-down pesticides has spoiled bulk rice and other grains. Not only this the pests has increased to such an extent that they are reaching to houses of people in the area which is spoiling there grains as well. The pests are seen everywhere in the houses of residents there hence making it difficult for them to survive.
The grains are decaying rather then feeding the poor and needy.
It was after the complaints of residents that Bhavnagar MLA visited the spot, who said that it was because of the pest control drug that was sprinkled on the grains to fight the pests. The MLA also said that if such heavy drug contained grains will be consumed by the people than it will harm their health drastically.

Gujarat Congress has attracted the people across the state for its proposed of housing scheme. For the distribution of form more then 25 station has been held across the Vadodara city by congress. At one center clash was rised in people due to Lack of proper management. Then exited ladies started protest by thrown sandals on congress activist. Because of clash management 8 center had been closed by congress. In Junagadh for the same reason clash with weapons raised between two groups of same cast. Police had reach the spot on the time and had register FIR against both group. People stood up from 8:00am to get form, but at last distribution of form was ended because of clash.

Youth kidnaped by neighbour for money rescued, Vadodara

It is said that neighbor is the first relative but the incident is the exception, In Baroda youth kidnapped by neighbour for the money. the incident took place on 15th august. kidnapers kidnapped young boy and asked for crore rs from boy’s family. Boy’s Father filed complain in police station and police had started searching operation to find young boy and police got the point that there is someone who is aware with financial condition of Paresh bhai, father of young boy,and after inquiry the whole matter came out that accused done this because he had to give 7 lakh to Paresh bhai. police arrested him and sent to jail.

Collector visits the spot where wheat grins were wasted, Vadodara

After the huge loss of wheat worth 140 trucks, Vadodara collector visited the spot. He himself was shocked at the site where large of wheat that was suppose to feed poor people was wasted. He assured probe in this case and that it is a serious blunder on the part of authority.
He said it is a severe man made blunder and that a prior adjustment should have made to transfer the wheat from Madhya Pradesh to Central Warehousing Corporation.

Youth abducted and beaten up on minor dispute, Vadodara

A youth was abducted from Bharuch and brought to Vadodara where he was severely beaten up by a man with whom he had a minor dispute previously. The abductors took him in 3 cars and threw him later in Fatehpura area of Vadodara.
Learning about the incident the victim’s family lodged a police complaint against the accused his wife and three others with a total of five.
Few days ago the accused beaten up a lady and the victim rescued her which is believed to be the reason behind this entire incident.

Critical condition of farmers due to delayed monsoons, Vadodara

Farmers of Vadodra are worries as monsoon is delayed this year. There is around 5 lakh hectare land district but sowing is done in only 2 lakh hectare field due to delayed rain. Cotton and Tuver are the main crops if rain does not arrive their production will be affected adversely.
