Close friends and relatives attended Esha Deol’s mehendi ceremony in Mumbai. The bride-to-be looked pretty in an orange-yellow lehenga designed by Neeta Lulla. Her fiancé Bharat Takhtani wore a without-sleeves Nehru jacket over a yellow-white kurta-pyjama designed by the same designer.
However, Dharmendra and Sunny Deol were missing from the mehendi ceremony.

Irresponsibility can take somebody’s life. Something like that happened in an engagement ceremony that was going on in Dhaulpur district of Rajasthan. A man in drunken state fired and injured 4 among which one died on the spot. The injured are shifted to hospital for treatment.
In the engagement girl and her relatives came from Madhya Pradesh for the ceremony and many of them were drunk and were firing in order to celebrate the ceremony. Police has detained more than 6 people in this case.
However, this is not the first case in which such accident of firing happened in marriages or functions.

A girl who wanted to attend her sister’s wedding in Uttar Pradesh cooked up story and landed in police station. She was brought to Ahmedabad by Niyaz Khan from UP whose in-laws are from there and he girls mother was a maid at their house. She allegedly went away from Niyaz’s house without informing anyone to go to her native place. But fortunately she landed in hands of citizens who handed her over to Vejalpur Police station. Police has talked to her mother who will come to Ahmedabad within short time to take her daughter away.

Holi is the color of festival which is celebrated with pomp across the Nation. But in different regions and interiors of our county it is celebrated with a slight difference.
On of them is Junagadh. In Gundrad Village wedding is organized in which there is a groom a bride and Baraatis like any other marriage has. But it is different from others as Both the bride and grooms are male, male is dressed up as bride an the villagers play the part of Baraati. Baraat is taken out in which Groom is made to sit reverse on donkey. Even feraa is taken reverse around the aisle.
This tradition is a very old one which has a noble cause behind it. During all this process youth raise fund for fodder and grain for cows and birds respectively.
