No benefit to poor students even after SC upholds RTE Act, Ahmedabad

Supreme Court upheld Right to Education Act in which 25% seats will be reserved for poor students. But it seems that the poor students will not get benefit from this decision of the SC as the admission procedure is already closed in many private school for the current year.


Mandatory CCTV at hotels and Petrol Pump, Veraval

Many people visits the world famous Somnath temple in Veraval and their is also a good fishery business spread here. Following this the police published a notification that every hotel and petrol pump should have a CCTV Camera installed. But a guest house opposite Veraval ST bus depot did not have one because of which police took action against it. This incident made other hotel owners and guest house alert and they have started procedure of imposing CCTV cameras.
There no CCTV camera in Circuit House other government building as well.


Looteri Dulhan gang nabbed, Vadodara

Gang of looteri dhulhan is nabbed by police. The gang used to cheat youths luring them with marriage proposals. On one account when they were trying to cheat a youth their entire plan was exposed. They were intending to take Rs. 20,000 from the groom and run away. But they ended up in police station.
In the gang a 19 year old used to become fake bride and two other women helped in planning.


Husband commits suicide after killing wife, Jamnagar

Following household disputes husband killed his wife first and later committed suicide by jumping under a train. The incident is of Hanuman Tekri area of Jamnagar.
Parbatbhai Bagda attacked his wife with iron rod while she was asleep. Prior to this as well he attacked his wife with knife as well.


Health Department seized Inedible Mangoes, Ahmedabad

Municipal Health Department of AMC seized many inedible mangoes. They seized 35 boxes each containing 10 kg mangoes in each box. Each of these boxes contained carbide powder. Approximately 350 kg of mangoes and 6 shops that tanned mangoes with the help of 1kg carbide powder.


Newly Born Baby found from Thorn Bushes, Patan

A newly born baby girl was found from bushes of thorn from Patan-Deesa road. When people heard cries of the baby the called 108 Ambulance and shifted her to hospital. Many wounds can be seen on the body of the baby. Police has started search to trace the family members of the abandoned baby.


Increased in number of Jaundice among people, Vadodara

There has been a notable increase in the cases of jaundice among people of the city. The main reason behind this is the contaminated water that people gets. The health department of Vadodara Corporation has started taking samples of contaminated water from the areas and has started the drive of testing them. People demands pure water from the corporation.


Buried Dead Body Disappears from Graveyard Part – 2, Ahmedabad

Family members called police when they found the graveyard of their 4 day old bay, excavated. Looking at the seriousness of the situation, police called dog squad to find a clue. Police has started investigating towards the directions highlighted by the dog of the squad. Looking at the situation in which the grave is excavated and the high walls of the graveyard, police and FSL says that it is not the work of dogs which is alleged by the care takers of the graveyard. Hence police also suspects that some unknown people has taken the dead body and is investigating further in the case.


Buried Dead Body Disappears from Graveyard Part – 1, Ahmedabad

Dead Body of a 4 day old baby girl was buried in the Chamunda Crematorium House of Ahmedabad. Within 24 hours when the father of the baby came for religious rituals, he found that the place where his daughter was buried was excavated. He informed to the police about the incident and suspects that the body might have taken out from Tantrik procedure. However, it is also possible the stray dogs might have taken out the dead body from the place.
There were 2-3 more graves excavated near the baby’s grave.


AMC drive to control Malaria in City, Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has started a drive to kill mosquitoes. With increasing heat the number of diseases, especially in March month increases. In March month the number of malaria cases was 406 in which 5 people died whereas in April month till now a total of 112 cases of Malaria has registered. The Corporation is keeping a keen eye on food units.
