Huge procession of Lord Jagannath is scheduled to roll out on June 21. Its preparation has resumed. Wagha which lord will wear on the day of preparation is made with blue and pink combination.



14 year old boy died due to wall collapse, Ahmedabad

A 14 year old boy dies as wall collapsed in Naranpura area of Ahmedabad. Construction work of a nearby house was going on when suddenly a wall collided while this family was sleeping outside their house. In this accident 14 year old Vinod died and his father is severely injured.
However, family members claims that this accident happened because of irresponsibility.
The police has lodged a complaint against the contractor and the owner of the house.
However, the family gave them prior warning that the wall is very weak and will collapse but the owner ignored their appeal.
Residents blames that at first police refused to file and complaint and when they were pressurized the complaint was lodged.


AMC operates Control Room for monsoon, Ahmedabad

With the arrival of monsoons AMC gets numerous calls regarding the problems during this season. But this time the AMC has prepared itself and has made special control rooms in the zonal office, and main office of AMC. A central control room is started at Tagore Hall. These control rooms will solve problems of citizens during monsoons.
Labors will be present 24/7 in these control rooms alongwith de-watering pumps that will help during choked gutters or any other trouble during monsoons.
Citizens can also filed complaints of trees falling, house collapsing or drowning because of rains.


Presidential Election polls on July 19

Chair of the Electoral Committee, V.S. Sampath in Press conference announced that presidential elections will be hold on July 19, and results will be made on public on July 22. The call for the polls will be made official on June 16; the deadline for nominations expires on June 30 and the votes will be counted on July 2, while nominations can be withdrawn through July 4.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari are one amongst aspiring president.


Liquor recovered from inmate of Bharuch Jail

3 Liquor bottles were recovered from an inmate of Bharuch Jail. Till now mobile, tobacco and other such things were recovered from jails that exposed the irresponsibility of the jails. But this time liquor is found from the jail. A youth was roaming outside the Bharuch sub jail in suspicious manner following which the guard he immediately informed B division police. When police interrogated 3 bottles of liquor were recovered from him. The youth is a former inmate of this jail and the one who is imprisoned called him and asked for this liquor.


Salman Khan getting close with his ex flame Sangeeta Bijlani

It seems that Salman Khan is getting close with his ex flame Sangeeta Bijlani as they were spotted together recently during screening of a Hollywood Movie. Sangeeta is also often seen with Salman’s sister.

Sangeeta Bijlani was once girlfriend of Salman Khan but they broke up supposedly due to Salman Khan’s closeness with Somi Ali. She married to Cricketer Mohammed Azahrudin. But rift in their relation is reported after Azahar’s name is linked with sports personality Jwala Gupta. Sangeeta has now moved to Mumbai.


Pranab Mukherjee refused to comment on Standard and Poor’s report

Fiance Minister Pranab Mukherjee refused to comment on the report of Standard and report. He has rejected the recent report of S&P. However finance Minister claimed that country will bounce back. S&P in its report has threatened to downgrade India;s credit ranking. It has said that India could first nation among BRIC to downfall.


Land Record office working without officers, Porbandar

Land Record office of Porbandar is working without officers since a long time. Whenever the applicants used to come they only get one answer that the officer comes only once in a week and they have to repeatedly visit the office several times. When contacted the present employee in the office he said that there is no officer since a long time and after the former officer was retired a Junagadh officer was given the charge and he come only once in a week.
Higher officials know that there is a lack of officers in this office and ensures that within short time the posts will be filled soon.


Narendra Modi Slams UPA on S & P Report

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Narendra Modi slammed UPA government after Standard and Poor’s report. S&P in its report released stated that India could be first of the BRIC country to fall. It has threaten to downgrade India’s ranking. On this Narendra Modi on twitter tweeted “UPA government has given a nine-year low GDP growth in a quarter.
With monsoons deficient till now, where are we heading toward as a nation”.

Narendra Modi also commented on S&P statement which said division of roles between “powerful” Cong president and “appointed” PM has weakened policy making framework and caused political vacuum

The S&P report had said: “Moreover, paramount political power rests with the leader of the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi, who holds no Cabinet position, while the government is led by an unelected Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who lacks a political base of his own”.

However Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has rejected the report of S&P.


CM Narendra Modi attends Passing Out Parade in Baroda

Narendra Modi was present in the SRP ground of Vadodara to the encourage the young police personnel. A passing out parade was organized for 419 jawans. These youths became police personnel after 8 month hardcore training. In the history of Vadodara police academy, this is the first time the Chief Minister Narendra Modi was present.
This year total 8000 jawans are added to the police force of Gujarat State.
CM gave awarded trophy to 6 jawans for their outstanding performance.
