Amit Shah gets permission to return to Gujarat, CBI plea rejected by SC

On Thursday SC rejected the CBI’s plea seeking to cancel the bail given to former Gujarat home minister Amit Shah and permitted him to enter Gujarat ahead of the polls in the state, but has transferred the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case in which he is accused, from Gujarat to Mumbai.
The Supreme Court has rejected the appeal made by the CBI seeking to cancel the bail given to Shah by the Gujarat High Court and has said the former minister can now travel to Gujarat. The court’s verdict is significant for the BJP, since Shah was one of the party’s main poll campaign managers in the state and enjoys the trust of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.


Theives barged in mobile store steals 59 mobiles, Ahmedabad

Thieves barged into Shreenathji Mobile Store at Khokhra area in the midnight. The stole 59 expensive mobile phones, 2 bluetooths, 12 memory cards and two handsfree.
The broke the entire shutter instead of breaking the locks so that nobody could make out the theft. It was only when the owner came to open the shop found the shop empty. However, there was not even a single CCTV camera in the shop and this is making the work of police difficult.

Kidnapped kid found from Mumbai, family member involved, Ahmedabad

A four and a half year old boy Mehfuz was kidnapped from Sunderamnagar of Ahmedabad on 20th September. Investigation revealed that 5 people kidnapped the child for extortion. Bapunagar police detained relatives of the father of the child after which they rescued the child from Kurla of Mumbai arresting the five accused.

The kid went missing from nearby his house where he was playing. The kid’s father suspected as his sister-in-law’s son Irfan was also missing on the same day. He described his suspect towards Irfan of kidnapping his kid. At the time Irfan was found and the entire conspiracy was exposed that Mehfuz was kidnapped.

The accused, Irfan was aware that there is a huge amount of money gathered in the house because of the upcoming marriage of daughter of Mushir’s brother in November. Hence Irfan with the help of a guy named Sultan and other three kidnapped Mehfuz. At first the took Mehfuz to Malegaon and the kept him at Bharatiyanagar of Kurla in Mumbai from where Bapunagar police rescued the kid.

All the accused including Irfan were coinless and borrowed Rs. 5 thousand to kidnap Mehfuz. They dint have money to eat as well and when the kid asked for food or to go home they used to beat him up and later used to give him wafers or biscuits to eat. The family members are thankful to god and police to help them get their child back.


Majority of Ganesh Madap lack security measures, Ahmedabad

After the unfortunate incident of blast in one of the Ganesh pandals the irresponsibilities of organizers have come out. Most of the pandals in the city have failed to procure no-objection certificates (NOCs) from the fire, estate and health departments.
According to authorities, the pandal organisers are supposed to take permission before setting up pandals.
Chief Fire Officer M F Dastur said, “We give permission only if the norms specified by us are followed. People feel that the inspection conducted by cops and their permission is enough. But that isn’t true. There are several risk factors that have to be taken into consideration, especially in pandals that have special effects. If we don’t get a request for NOC, we assume the person has not set up the pandal.”


Narendra Modi announces ‘Saurashtra Narmada Avataran Irrigation Yojna’

Chief minister Narendra Modi announced an ambitious plan to fill 115 dams in seven districts of Saurashtra with Narmada waters within the next three years. Modi launched the Rs 10,000 crore ‘Saurashtra Narmada Avataran Irrigation’ (SAUNI) yojana with a video presentation. He said Modi said that one million acre-feet of water will be supplied to Saurashtra to fill dams.
It is estimated that 10 lakh acres of agriculture land will get irrigation once the project is completed. Narmada water will reach 115 dams of Saurashtra using gravity, through 1,115-km-long link canals.
Modi also announced that a farmers’ convention will be held at 115 dam sites to honour Narmada. These conventions will be held till October 7. Each convention will be attended by a minimum of 10,000 farmers and films on SAUNI Yojana would be screened at each of these conventions.


Ganesh Mahotsav turned fatal as gas cylinder blasted killing one, Ahmedabad

During an ongoing Ganesh Mahotsav in Govindvadi area Isanpur of Ahmedabd a gas cylinder blasted in Ganesh mandal.
The gas cylinders were kept there to bring out the fire flames from mouth of the dinosaurs kept there for amusement. For this both gas cylinder and oxygen cylinder were used. The gas cylinder leaked and huge amount of gas came out and a tiny spark led to a sudden blast.
Such was its impact that the man who was standing nearby the gas cylinder died on the spot as he was beheaded because of the explosion. Other 7 people were injured in this accident in which two were severely burnt.
In the entire accident irresponsibility of the organizers came out, the organizers did not took any precautionary steps and which led to the demise of an innocent person.
City mayor, Asit Vora and other senior police personnel rushed to the spot after the incident occurred.


Green Ganesh made out of Druva grass spreading awareness, Surat

In order to spread awareness of the eco-friendly Ganesh, the residents of Surat city made a Ganesh idol out of his favourite durva grass. This unique green Ganesh was made by the residents in six months. For the the residents specially grew grass and made the idol. This makes the this Ganpati Bappa different from other idols. People in large number come to worship this idol and also learn the importance of saving trees and decrease pollution.
The unique thing about this green Ganesh is that the visarjan will be done in the mandal only with the water of river Tapi.


4-month-old boy kidnapped by eunuch found within hours of kidnapping, Ahmedabad

A four month old baby boy went missing from his home on Monday. Fortunately the boy was found within hours of a complaint lodged by the baby’s parents. Investigation revealed that the boy was kidnapped by a eunuch and his partner. Interrogation revealed that the duo kidnapped the kid with an intention to sell the baby. One more thing that has come into the light is that the duo kidnapped baby because they did not have their own child. However, the real reason behind this act is yet to be discover.


145 Kg Bhakri made as Prasaad for Lord Ganesha, Jamnagar

In Jamnagar a Ganesh Pandaal organizers had a desire to make the largest bhakri and offer it to Lord Ganesh. With the co-operation of members of Ganesh pandaal 145 Kg Bhakri was prepared. For the preparation 1100 kg pan was used and a huge chulha to cook it was made. 104 kg wheat flour, 18 kg oil and 4 kg ghee was used to make 145 kg bhakri.
