Mona Thiba to shake a leg with Ajay Devgan in ‘Himmatwala’ remake


Gujarat film actress, Mona Thiba, is set to shake a leg with actor Ajay Devgan in his upcoming movie “Himmatwala” remake. She is one among the five regional film actresses who will be in the item song. The other actresses are Sayantani Ghosh from Kolkata, Rinku Ghosh from Bhojpuri films, Amruta Khanvilkar from Marathi cinema, Surveen Chawla from Punjabi films.
These girls belong to different parts of the country and are big stars in their respective industries.
Ajay Devgan will be seen dancing with these actresses in the song.

Narendra Modi praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Delhi


During his speech at the BJP conclave, Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi was all praise for BJP’s first PM in the country Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Modi said that Vajpayee was an example of what one man could do. “Atalji was the only real PM that India had,” he said. “The two nuclear tests carried out by us showed India’s resolve despite economic sanctions,” he added.

600 boat owners goes on strike to protest price hike in diesel, Jafrabad


Jafrabad port is among one of the hubs for fishery in Amreli. Every year fishes worth rupees 500 crore are exported from this port. From here 600 boats goes in the sea for fishing from Maharashtra to the South of India. However, with the hike of Rs. 12 in the diesel used in this boats, the owners have gone on a strike to oppose this hike.
The president of Jafrabad boat association said that if the Government will not take this price hike back than from 8th of February fishermen of this entire country will go on a strike. Whereas on the other hand there are almost 6000 fishermen working in this port and the strike is affect them adversely.

Police raids factory of duplicate ghee, Gandhinagar


With the festive season going on, various factories making adulterated ghee and other edible items have become active.
On the basis of information Kalol police raided on such factory in Chattral GIDC that was making spurious ghee. During the raid 125 boxes of ghee were seized. These people were making duplicate ghee in the name of plastic factory. All the four accused are nabbed alongwith the ingredients and a mini truck.

Woman tortured by husband for having baby girl, Ahmedabad


Once again a woman is tortured and abused over having a girl child. A pregnant woman was beaten up by her husband because the baby in her womb was a girl.
The woman was married before 3 years and had a baby girl soon after her marriage. He in-laws who wanted a boy started torturing her.
The woman was pregnant for the second time and this time her husband threatened her not to bring from her parents home if she will again give birth to a girl.
When her husband came to meet her at her parents house where she came to deliver the baby, he kicked her hard on the stomach following a fight.
Soon after the woman complained of severe pain and was rushed to the hospital. There she gave birth to another baby girl but this time the girl was born dead.
Complaint has been filed against the husband and his family.

Worms found in midday meal of school, Ahmedabad


Parents and students were shocked to see worms in the midday meal that was served to the students of a school in Amraivadi area of Ahmedabad. The parents gathered at the school and expressed their anger towards such irresponsibility of the school authority.
The meal was of cheap quality and was made from bad quality of flour.
When informed about the incident the authority rushed to the spot. Though at first they refused to say anything in front of the camera, later they assured to investigate in the case and take necessary measures against those responsible.

Terror of Dengue increased in Bhuj, 3 died so far


In last one month 3 people have died due to dengue in Kutch. More than 30 cases are registered positive for dengue. The number of patients is yet increasing in Kutch. Health Department is taking necessary measures to control the disease. This is the outcome of dinginess and sewage in areas that increases mosquitoes.
Residents are angry towards the authorities as they do not clean the dinginess in areas and also do not take steps to save them from mosquito bites.
However, though late but the authority has started working towards controlling measures.

Brutal step-father who thrashed 7-yr-old arrested, Rajkot


In the case where a step-father beaten his 7-year-old son so brutally that the boy was injured severely. The step-father is finally arrested by the police and it is found that he thrashed the boy under the influence of alcohol. The boy’s mother was Kana Bharwad’s second wife. She brought her son alongwith her which was not liked by Bharwad. Hence he used to beat him up every now and then without any reason.
Police has nabbed the accused and has sent the boy to observation home.
